Most of us have bought technology. And when you receive something like that it’s the best thing ever. But technology is so fragile, so you inevitably break it. Knowing I’ve broken something expensive gets me livid. Here are the three ways technology breaks that I can stand!
Water is an instant technology killer. Seriously, I know developers think we are going to stay in our sterile bubble all day to play with their technology, but I work. And I go to social events. It would be nice if my phone was slightly more water resistant. I’m not asking for something to keep my phone safe in a monsoon. However, there are companies that make protection for your tech. I just want the tech itself to be durable.
Second, I cant stand when a small piece breaks so you’re doomed. I bought two ethernet cables for my computer and the little clip broke. Which clip? Why, the one that holds my internet cable inside my computer. It’s awful. Now, I have to jury rig my cable to stay in the machine. And the cord still randomly falls out destroying whatever I might have been doing online. It’s the worst!
Finally though, I hate cracking a screen. This is probably the most common and most painful offenders. When you crack a screen, your phone or tablet may still work. You just get to live with the visual distortion. A constant reminder now sits on the screen which you personally probably can’t fix. I know I couldn’t!
Do you have any sort of technological peeve that bothers you? Maybe it’s not like any of mine and it’s something software related? Perhaps you haven’t ever had an issue until just recently that you want to share? Comment below, Id love to hear from you!
